Overview

The Victoria Falls is the world’s largest waterfall, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the seven natural wonders of the world. Located on the Zambezi river between Zimbabwe and Zambia, this spectacular tourist attraction is a destination rich in scenery, history, and adventure activities. Tourist orientated and extremely safe, the town of Victoria Falls boasts many hotels and lodges which accommodate visitors from around the world to one of Southern Africa’s foremost tourist destinations and Africa’s undisputed adventure capital.

Otherwise known as Mosi-O-Tunya - “The Smoke that Thunders” the Victoria Falls is a 1.7 km sheet of water which drops over 100m into the Batoka Gorge below. Amidst the continuous spray and deafening roar, the sheer scale and size of the falls can only be fully realised by experiencing it in reality. From their lowest point in November, the falls gradually rise until they reach their zenith in April.

From adrenaline fueled white water rafting and bungee jumping off the historical railway bridge to micro-lighting over the misty haze of the mighty falls before savoring a historical tour of one of Africa’s most incredible natural wonders, Victoria Falls is built around the activities it has on offer and the destination in which it is set. Despite the magnificence of the falls, the town and surrounds is a playground for the adventure enthusiast who wishes to experience the raw magic of Africa.

Historical hotels and luxury lodges are all available for discerning travelers, however there is also no shortage of quaint bed & breakfasts, backpackers and campsites for every range of explorer wishing to experience this spectacular African location.
